In general, we first invite you to obtain the patent. The patent lists some of the apparently relevant patents, which were looked at during that investigation and were part of our submission. However, there were many other patents discovered that we think may be relevant to this subject. We invite you to contact us if you would like that summarization. In filing for our patent, we reviewed a large number of technical articles that date back to 1974. Refer to our References page for these helpful resources. Many of the References deal with structures being designed so they can accept some seismic shock without undue damage. Though we found no articles about the mitigation of seismic shock as a means of lowering the damage to a structure or a footing, the articles on the References page relate. You will find some articles listed without commentary for their scope, but a content summary and an account of their relevance is listed. The page is filled with references on construction methods that incorporate damping devices into buildings, which has become almost a field of its own. Reducing damage is important to all designers, since it is relevant whether or not the EQ-Force method is used. If there is any information you feel we may have or if you have any questions or concerns, please contact us. We're here to help you in getting started. |
